Payment and Delivery

We use Paypal as our chosen payment portal, but you do not need a Paypal account in order to pay.

 

If you do not have a Paypal account

You can click on “I do not have a Paypal account” and you may sign in as a guest using the card details of your choice. You may even do this if you do have a Paypal account.

Mad About Horses do NOT have access to your payment details, only Paypal have access to this private information. If your payment is successful you will receive a separate confirmation message from Paypal to say that your payment has been processed. 

 

Cheque payment

If you wish to pay by cheque please send it to us with your order details. Post and packing is now £3.95 so please add this to your order cost. If cheques are sent with the incorrect amount on, we will return them to you. You will need to allow at least 5 working days for a cheque to clear, then once cleared we will despatch your goods.

 

Same or next (working) day despatch

NO DELIVERIES AT WEEKENDS

Packaging and delivery now costs £3.95
Your jewellery items are packaged in our branded gift boxes and bagged. 
 
Normal order items are packaged up and processed for same or next working day despatch. Special order items may take longer (4-7 days) we flag these up in the product descriptions.
 
To ensure that you receive your order, we use Royal Mail’s  Recorded Signed For™ service with tracking, this requires your signature upon receipt of goods. Recently the Royal Mail put up their prices so we have had to increase the shipping price accordingly, we apologise for the extra expense.
 
PLEASE ALLOW 2-3 WORKING DAYS after placing your order, for your package to arrive* (as advised by Royal Mail). If there is nobody available to sign for your package, the item will be returned to your local sorting office (or the nearest sorting office to the delivery post code). Always check locally before contacting us for non-delivery. Please note we cannot be held responsible for delays incurred by Royal Mail, if you have a complaint, it is advisable to contact your local sorting office.
For our customers in the Republic of Ireland we will send shipments via Airmail.

* Strikes not withstanding

Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be despatched on Monday. 
Orders placed on a bank holiday will also be despatched the day after. 
UK Delivery is a flat rate fee of £3.95 using Royal Mail’s Signed for service (2nd class).

 

Items not in stock

If an item is currently out of stock, we will flag it up in the item description. 
You can email us if you require an out of stock item and we can advise you of timescales if we can, sometimes items will be out of stock with the manufacturer and it may be harder to determine those respective lead times.

You may need to allow 3-7 working days for delivery on certain items. Such items have been flagged up in the product description.

 

Overseas – Airmail shipments

Overseas deliveries are sent via standard Airmail (this does not require a signature and does not include tracking or insurance), the standard flat rate fee of £3.95 at checkout stage covers UK domestic and Europe. For shipments further afield we charge £4.50. We cannot guarantee delivery times for this service. Please check with your local mail office for items that have not been delivered within 3-4 weeks, the local customs authorities may have held onto the package for payment of duty on your item. We are not responsible for payment of duty on your item, this is the customers responsibility. PLEASE NOTE: Once your package has left the UK, we are not responsible for non-delivery of items sent by standard Airmail. If you wish to insure your item we use Airsure which costs £7.95.
